Time to update my blog

Today I turned 35. I'm home alone because Amy took the girls to Princesses' on Ice. That is my present, not having to go. My blog is now updated. Love you all.

Backyard Campfire

The girls along with Amy's encouragement have been wanting to roast hot dogs and marshmallows so we decided to do it tonight. It was bath night anyway(we do it on Wednesdays like my DAD) so it didn't matter if we all smelled like smoke. Everything was going good with our "small" fire until our campground got a little boring so I threw our Christmas tree on the fire! First thing that happened was Amy got mad, then the girls got scared and mad, then the neighbors horses went wild like the brood mare herd from snowy river, then the column of black smoke got bigger and more embarrassing, the girls were running for their lives and got trapped against the fence 80' from the fire but still trapped and calling in for the smoke jumpers, then the Dora plastic chairs started to change shape, then it was OVER! It was quite the deal and everyone was yelling and pointing fingers but it all worked when they calmed down and was able to roast marshmallows

Roadtrip to Kanab via Toquerville

This was a great trip! I will just touch on the highlights:
In my car Me. Amy, Kami, Nate, Reghan, Tailor, Kennedie
Left 1/2 hour late, buckled everyone in said prayer.
1st stop...Wendy's in Tooele, I spilled Kami's 44oz Dr Pepper.
Next stop, Meadow for a drink and stretch. Nate and I both noticed the hot older lady working there with a possible boob job, but a bad case of man hands!
Next stop, Toquerville..We made it!
St. George for dinner, small confusion at the Outback but Nate fixed it.
Up early to get ready to drive to Kanab, shower head too low and very energy saving at 8oz a minute.
Had a great breakfast cooked by Kami....Mom liked the french toast.
Went against Kari and Mom and followed GPS route to Kanab, ya it was a mistake. We ended up driving thru Zions and paying $25 on top of that. Did get to see some scenery and drove thru a long tunnel, but not the fastest way to Kanab
Fuel light comes on......just a bit of panic.
Missed 4.5 minute wedding ceremony.....dang it!
Said Hi to Pete and met his Bride and her Mother(very similar)
Home thru Arizona......didn't see any plygs
Great dinner and table at the Olive Garden(what else would you expect from St. George) thanks for dinner MOM!
Stopped at nice new Walmart to get new shower head.
Up and cleaned the cottage.
Stopped at Cedar City....lunch
Stopped at Rest Area.....for Nate
Stopped at Meadow, yes she was working again.
Stopped at Lyndal, reenact the breakdown notice pole and building in pic.
Tailor stepped in the only mud puddle around....she was crying and shoes off.
5 miles later realized shoes were left on car bumper.
Turn around and find both shoes in road 1/4 mile apart.
Stop in Stockton....for Amy and Reghan.
Finally home and watch Jazz finally win a roadgame!
Thanks again for all those who helped make this trip really fun, I barely thought about the fact I didn't get any the whole trip.

Flaming Gorge 2001 Cliffs and Turtles

We were watching some old tapes last night and we came across this one. It is at Flaming Gorge in July 2001 and everyone is so much younger. Special thanks to Shaun and Randy for hours of intertainment. It is worth watching, for no other reason it it 3 hours to upload, please pause the SheDaisy sooundtrack so you can hear the video. Enjoy!

So I came home form work on Friday and this is what I found in my house. Friday was a great day and spring was in the air and I was in the mood to play or do something and this is what I found. Amy has been working some night shifts at the Walmart and I know she is hammered the day after, and for the record, I don't know how she does it but it is her deal and I just have to stay out of her way. Anyway, I laughed a bit, sat down(after taking pics) and slowly life was restored to these two and the night turned out just fine.

Upate

So everyone is telling me I need to update my blog, the pressure is unbearable so here it is. I have been really busy and haven't had time to update my blog. I went to Vegas and ever since then business at Adobe has picked up and the days are getting longer and its getting warmer and it seems the world is spinning a but faster this year(hate that song), it seems like the other night Amy and I were arguing about who was going to drive home from Mindy and Jimmy's New Years Eve Party because we were both so wasted, and now we are planning Flaming Gorge trips and Disneyland with Elder Palmer. I will try and post some pictures this weekend and now apparently I have to make a Facebook page because that is what everyone is doing, kind of like boob jobs in St. George(its taboo not to have one). I really think that everyone should get done all they can in the next few years because according to the Mayans and many others this whole ride comes to a screeching stop on Dec 21 2012. Check it out.

The Morning Mysterys

This will confirm that I really don't do much or have any idea what goes go in my house after I go to sleep. I can hear the train blowing its horn at the crossings at Droubay, and Bates Canyon Rd, and I can hear RWB's semi trucks pulling onto the Hwy with another load of water or salt but when it comes to my kids I am deaf, Amy calls it selective hearing. So there are some mornings I wake up and there is evidence that something went wrong because Amy is not in bed, and usually she has been replaced with Tailor or Kennedie. From this point on it becomes a CSI Erda to see where people are laying and to backwards engineer the events of the night before. I just love to see everyone asleep and see how peaceful it all seems but knowing full well that a few hours earlier Amy was fighting to get them to go to bed and sometimes just letting them fend for themselves. She is just so AWESOME and I don't know how she does it.

An Obama Acceptance Ritual

This is an ancient ritual that we perform after every Election. "Jose" (name changed to protect identity) voted for Obama and has been caught up with all this talk of hope and change. In order for him to completely wash away all the terrible years of Pres Bush it is necessary to cleanse his pores so he can fully accept the new term of the chosen one, Obama. Our most senior employee is seen here apply steam for long periods of time and "Jose" is chanting the words of the Obama Campaign..."Change We Can Believe In", as proof that the heavens approved of our ceremony the sun actually broke through the smog/fog for a short time. May God Bless Our Country.

Bronco James Mendez Palmero

We have had him for about 36 hours now and so far he has been good. He woke up about 5:AM about 1/2 before I usually get up so I had to put the kennel right by my bed so I could punch it everytime he wimpered. He isn't too energetic (see pics) and has slept for 19 of the 36 hours. We gave him a bath in the tub.....could've used the sink once I realized we only needed 3/4" water, of course Reghan and Tailor wanted me to fill it all the way up so he could swim, maybe next time.

We Get BRONCO

Amy Maria

Amy on KSL TV

We had a fun night planned watching the BCS game and the Smith's were coming over for dinner, then Amy got this call from KSL. 45 Minutes later Alex Cabrero was at our door and everything was on hold. She did a good job talking about Home Depot and then they wanted a shot of our family acting "normally". I said "normally" I sit in this chair and Amy is busy with the kids, but for a few minutes we sat together and put on a good show. I tried to find some Adobe Rock or RR CartCrete paraphernalia to place in the background, but it didn't happen...Amy was glad that I changed out of my pajamas. To see the story go to......http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5268590

Adobe Rock Race Day

As part of our Adobe Rock safety plan we recieved some "training" at the Miller Motorsports Park. My Dad set this all up and everyone had a really good time. We spent some time on a highway driving course and then all of that was forgotten and it was "pedal to the metal" and feeling the G forces...it was very addicting, but not bad like porn

Race Day

My friend Blake trying to decide which car to drive, I mean........which car to to treat like a rental car on spring break.

Christmas Morning

The only GOOD thing about our girls being night owls is that they sleep in, Christmas morning they slept until 8:30. A few days before this Dee Dee (Kennedie) saw Amy assembling some of Santa's toys and it was funny that she recognized them right off the bat and half asleep.

Christmas Eve Craziness

This was just a funny thing that happened on Christmas Eve. Besides being Christmas Eve this is pretty much how every night is around here, full of good intentions but usually turns into 2 out of 3 crying.

Where to Begin??

From time to time I get inspired and about 1/2 of those times I actually sit down and form words and sentences and then it grows into something bigger than myself. After a few moments of pure laughter and lots of waking up in the night smiling these emails, talks, and stories get forgotten and become memories, I guess I'm doing this to try and keep these things alive a little longer. I will promise one thing, if this ever makes me money, ends up on KSL, or gets out of hand, I will stop blogging immediately.
